Connecting bridge - Coffee with the employer

After the successful implementation of training package with the target group of the project where their skills got enhanced, networking corners were organized in three cities, Ohrid, Skopje and Kumanovo. The networking corners were called “Coffee with the employer” and on each of the events the participants were able to enjoy motivational speeches by employers and afterwards ask questions.

The first Coffee with employer, was in Ohrid, in the premises of the Service Employment Agency where 32 participants were present. The participants with the employer Mr. Petar Naumovski had the opportunity to discuss HR selection processes in his well-known company. The support from the professionals of Service Employment Agency and Social work center, Ohrid was very important during the event, as they have also shared some “tips and tricks” useful for speeding up the inclusion on the labour market of the participants. In the end of the event job interview simulation was prepared, which was valued as also very useful by the participants. During the process of organizing the event in Ohrid, the support that was provided by the SEA and SWC was very significant for its successful implementation. Pictures

On 19th of December was organized the second Coffee with employer, in Kumanovo, in the premises of the Service Employment Agency, on which were present 13 participants. The employers present on the event were Mr. Mome Davidovski and Ms Lidija Denkovikj, which offered practical examples for better presenting on a job interview. Pictures

On 21st of December was organized the third networking corner in Skopje. On this Coffee with employer were present different speakers which created one systematical overview of the job searching process. The first speaker was from the head of HR department of bank , Ms Olgica Spasovska, small business owner Ms Katerina Andonovska Vuchenovikj and Ms Maja Ilievska (entrepreneur). This event was most engaging as the participants were able to hear advices from different perspectives, one from corporate level, the second one from small business owner and another experience of young entrepreneur whose career is consisted of trying out different business ideas, successes and failures and high motivation for further success.  Pictures

Coffee with the employer has been very significant event as it represented initial connecting bridge between the target group and the potential employers. The content of the training, the gained skills and knowledge, the speeches from the employers and the main conclusions from the discussions has led to one crucial understanding by the participants, that in the job searching process there are many “helpers” that they did not thought of before. So the upcoming mentoring process will be wonderful confirmation for this and also one huge step towards putting all the pieces of the puzzle in to one.
